International performance of students on Annual day at Redbricks School

Redbricks school celebrated Annual Day with great pomp and show. The theme chosen was “ Navras”. Navras which depicts nine emotions of human mind. Rasa is an emotion experienced by the audience created by the facial expression or the Bhava of the actor . Navras is a Sanskrit word that, when broken down, refers to the nine “nava” emotional states “rasa” that are exhibited during music, drama, and the visual arts, the experience of which brings about a state of transcendental bliss.

The programme began with the welcome note followed by lightening of the lamp by the chief guest Padmashri Reema Nanavaty, Mr. Aditya Handa , Mrs. Renita Handa and the Principals Mrs . Sutapa Mishra, Dr. Gargi Singh and  Mrs. Hiral Dholakia ,as the tradition goes to worship Goddesses  saraswati to invoke her blessings.

The programme began with speech by the Chief Guest Padmashri Reema Nanavaty and  Founder Mr. Aditya Handa . An Award ceremony was held in which the best student and the best educator award was conferred to the deserving student from classes 3&4 and  classes 5-7 and also the facilitators from Redbricks Junior and Redbricks School . The first event which rocked the floor was the inaugural dance  “The matrix “which depicted all the rasas which left the audience spell bound . The preschool and junior children danced to the foot tapping numbers of going to the zoo , Maan Mohana ,Roar and many more . The fabulous performance by the students of primary section fetched lots of accolades from the dignitaries . The Arjuna Drama which was the kaliedoscope of rasas which is the aesthetic experience  of the nine basic emotions or tastes (rasas), viz., sensitive (perception of love,shringar), comic (hasya), heroic (veer), furious (raudra), apprehensive (vibhatsa), compassionate (karuna), horrific (bhayanak), marvelous (adbhut), and calmed (shaant) was well appreciated by all . The final performance was the instrumental which left the audience enchanted.
